Google My Business – Refund Policy
1. Important Disclaimer (Please Read Before Ordering)
- All Google My Business (GMB) Optimization services are non-refundable once work has begun, which includes acceptance of project scope, payment, or commencement of tasks (e.g. profile audit, photo uploads, category edits, posts planning).
- By booking our service, you understand that you are paying for our time, research, and specialized digital effort—not for guaranteed ranking or specific customer volume.
- Satisfaction efforts (such as optimization, updates) will be handled to your best benefit, but perfection or specific numerical results (e.g. “top 3 in search results”) cannot be guaranteed.
2. Services That Are Non-Refundable
You cannot request a refund for:
- Any GMB Optimization package after the project scope is agreed upon and the work has commenced.
- Edits, corrections or tweaks requested once initial optimization and content updates have been delivered.
- Any changes requested that lie outside the original brief (for example, adding extra locations not originally included, adding services/categories you didn’t specify initially).
- Ongoing monthly maintenance or retainer fees once the billing period has started.
- Uploading high-quality photos, geotagging, review monitoring, Google Posts content once they have been published.
3. Exceptions Where Refunds May Apply
Refunds will only be issued under these rare conditions:
- Duplicate Payment — if you accidentally make the same payment more than once for the same package/service.
- Non-Delivery — if we fail to deliver any part of the agreed scope of work within the designated timeline (unless delayed by you or due to external dependencies such as Google verification issues).
- Technical Errors — if a payment gateway or invoicing error leads to over-charge, failed charge, or incorrect billing.
Refunds, when approved, will be processed back via the original method of payment within 7-10 business days, unless otherwise agreed.
4. Revision & Change Request Policy
- Each GMB Optimization package will clearly list the number of revisions or adjustments included (e.g. changes to business description, categories, service listing, photos) before purchase.
- Valid revisions = minor tweaks within the original scope (e.g., altering descriptions, adjusting hours, changing photos inside agreed set).
- Invalid revisions = major scope changes (adding new locations, adding services/categories not originally specified, changing business model, major redesign of profile). These will be considered new work and may incur separate charges.
- Any revision beyond what is included in the package will be charged extra at the rate specified at the time of the change request.
5. Delivery Timelines
- Initial profile audit and draft recommendations delivered typically within 3-5 business days (or as per package).
- Execution (uploading photos, updating categories, descriptions, etc.) may take additional time depending on client’s response times, Google’s verification process, and external constraints.
- Delays due to client inactivity (not supplying required materials, late approvals), or due to Google/third-party systems, are not grounds for refund.
6. No Guarantee of External Results
- While we optimize your GMB profile as thoroughly as possible (in terms of descriptions, categories, UX, photos, consistency, etc.), we do not guarantee visibility, local ranking, leads, sales, or number of customer interactions. These depend on countless external factors (competition, user behavior, Google algorithms, offline business operations, etc.).
- We commit to deliver what we promised in the scope (optimization, suggestions, profile updates), not particular metrics.
7. Client Responsibilities
To enable us to deliver the service properly, you must:
- Provide a clear and detailed brief upfront (business name as listed, address, categories, existing photos, access rights, hours, services, etc.).
- Share any existing documentation relevant to your GMB listing (if it exists), like photos, description, past posts, access/ownership.
- Respond in a timely manner to drafts or questions (changes to description, requests for images, approvals).
- Provide access where required (Google My Business ownership or admin rights).

9. Acceptance of Policy
By purchasing a Google My Business Optimization service from Cannibals Media:
- You acknowledge that the service is primarily non-refundable once commenced, except under the rare exceptions listed above.
- You agree to the terms of revisions, delivery timelines, and client responsibilities.
- You understand that while we work to maximize your profile’s optimization, results outside our direct control (like ranking, visibility, leads) are not guaranteed.
